I have been thinking about this, I've currently added it to my snatch list for 14K, but I might increase that to 15K.

Think about how people will still want it for their goblin/worgen alts, but the material supply has run dry, the price will sky-rocket and that 15K hog just became worth double or more!
Long term investing is worth it, as long you're willing to sit it out.
The problem is 12.5K of that price is vendor mats. That price won't change in Cataclysm. You're basically sinking 15K into something where only 2.5K of the cost is variable. If you want to prep for goblin choppers, just stockpile the non-vendor mats: Titansteel, arctic fur, Cobalt bolts.
ReplyDeleteOr, even more simply, you can just keep snatching the base mats like you are now and transmute/trade: Borean Laeather, Saronite ore, Cobalt ore, eternals.
my thought about the chopper was this when cata hits turn your engineer into a goblin for the 20% discount and get the mats at a cheaper price and sell the mount near the mats cost of normal ppl since you can get away with it when other's cant
